I just got done watching a big show on the crisis in New Orleans. I wish that I had lots of money or something that could help those people out. It makes me angry and sad that I can't do anything to help them. I can't imagine something so horrible. What is even more unbelievable is that nothing was done to help everyone beforehand. They've known that this hurricane was coming for 2 years and our dear Dubbya decided to send money to fucking around in Iraq instead of arranging for the repair of levees in New Orleans. Good one Georgie.

Alright, now that I've ripped on our moron president, I'll share some good news. MSU is so kick ass I can't even begin to explain it!!! The atmosphere is so chill and friendly and the teachers are amazing. My Conservation teacher is beyond genious. The man knows everything about everything but he's not a pompus jerk about it. I lget up and think about how fun its going to be when I go to that class. I love it. The attitude of everyone is so much more relaxed, my friend Dustin decided to bring a drum to school and have a little jam / one man drum circle in the main courtyard. Not only did no one interrupt him or tell him to shut up but I saw some people kind of grooving by on their way to class. I feel at home, finally!

Harvest Fest is 4 days away and I am so excited I can't stand it. I've gotten all of my hours taken at work except for the ones I have enough PTO for. So I won't even get any points for this trip. We're going to have sooooo much fun! I'm really excited to go to Harmony Park, I've never been there but everyone's been telling me how beautiful and cool it is. I can't wait!!!!

Have a good one.

Rest In Peace: Rico the fish

So...Oregon was amazing, as expected. I can't get over how beautiful it is there. Idaho also gave me quite a shock. I thought it was going to be Nebraska style...ugly and flat and lame. But instead it was almost all national forrest and absolutely goregous.

The trip on the whole was great. The first day was a little stressful but everything from there picked up and just kept getting better. Saturday night was beyond explanation. Let's just say there were fire twirlers, theatrics, crazy ass music, insane lights, and lsd involved. Enough said.

Now I'm just getting ready to go back to school, even though I'm not registered....Damn NDSU, I blame them, not myself of course. I see it as a positive though, most of the time the full classes end up opening up a little. So this will make it easier for me to get into what I want.

I'm finally moved into my new apartment and got everything set up instead of just thrown into the room. Its nice to be in a part of town that's not crazy. I also have no other people living in my building at the moment so I get the place to myself, or at least one apartment of it.

I'm also dying my hair again today. I did the henna red and I liked it but now I'm going to go for a dark red brown. I've never dyed my hair dark before so I don't know how it will look, but I'm excited.

I hope everyone has an excellent weekend. I'm planning on it :)
